Challenges
As the provider’s operations scaled, the volume and variety of data generated across departments increased significantly. Getting timely, decision-ready information- while keeping patient records accessible and consistent- became harder to achieve, reinforcing the need for data warehouse modernization.
To address these challenges and accelerate growth, the provider engaged TVS Next.
Our Approach
TVS Next formed a cross-functional team and began with Accelerated Discovery Workshops with the provider’s C-suite to align on vision, outcomes, and current-state performance.
We then assessed the existing data stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Alteryx, Tableau) and mapped business KPIs to target capabilities to shape a clear roadmap for data warehouse modernization. Based on this, we selected Google Cloud Platform services—Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Looker—for the data lake, processing, and BI layers, and created a detailed plan to migrate and modernize the data warehouse and deliver a GCP-based BI platform.
To address these challenges and accelerate growth, the provider engaged TVS Next.
Transformation journey
To keep day-to-day operations running smoothly while new capabilities were built, we assigned database experts to develop, maintain, and support the current systems in parallel. We also established a clear baseline by documenting existing databases, architecture, objects, processes, tools, and access controls (security roles, accounts, and permissions)- setting the stage for data warehouse modernization.
